June 2003 is the scheduled completion date for The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino, Las Vegas, to add a new hotel tower and expanded meeting space, company officials said. The expansion will include a total of 1,1013 new suites, a Venetian-garden-themed pool deck, 150,000 square feet of additional meeting space and a new restaurant developed by a top chef.

Upon completion, the 4,049-suite Venetian will be the third largest hotel in the world by room count, officials said. “This will be the only place in the world where guests can enjoy 10 fine dining restaurants, the world’s largest privately owned convention center, a spectacular Canyon Ranch spa, two world-renowned Guggenheim Museums and much, much more, all in one location and under one roof,” said Venetian president Rob Goldstein. “This type of convenience is hard to top.”
