Hargove to aid in WW II memorial dedication

Lanham, Md.-based Hargrove will assist the American Battle Monuments Commission with events connected with the dedication of the World War II Memorial in Washington on Saturday. The ceremonies will span four days.

The company is producing more than 1,000 signs giving directions, identifying transportation venues, and indicating seating for the World War II Memorial dedication ceremonies. Hargrove is providing the stage backdrop for the dedication ceremony and the décor for the major donor reception in the Washington Convention Center to kick off the weekend festivities.

“With hundreds of thousands of veterans and their families expected, foot traffic control is extremely important, but it’s only part of our involvement in this historic weekend,” said Earl C. Hargrove, Jr., company president.

The special event, trade show, and custom exhibit company provided décor for dedications of the Korean War Veterans Memorial, National Women in Military Service Memorial, and the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial. Hargrove has provided service to every Presidential Inaugural since 1949 and has decorated the National Christmas Tree since 1954.
