Sticky situation for a DIY bride

We've been writing about the squeeze that DIY brides are putting on professional wedding planners.

Now our friend Bonny Katzman of BK Design shares this cautionary tale of how DIY can get ugly--literally:

"I recently heard that at a wedding at the Four Seasons, the bride brought in cases of tacky votives from the Christmas shop, and each had a price tag that had to be taken off," Bonny says.

"The story goes on," she adds, "but basically I think that the in-house hotel coordinators are working their butts off, and brides aren't hiring event planners!"

All I can picture is an army of sticky little price tags that sneaked onto guests' shoes, clothes … Not the parting gift a bride dreams of!
