Association Update

New ISES Leadership Takes Office

Lena Malouf of Sydney, Australia, assumed office as the 2001-2002 president of ISES in June. She is only the second person from outside the United States to serve as president of the organization. Malouf explains that her major goal as president is to promote the association's growth by bringing in more event professionals from the international community. “We've had recent inquiries from India, Singapore and Trinidad about possible new chapters, and I believe there is great potential for ISES to expand,” she says.

Members of the executive committee who assumed new roles in June include president elect Lee J. Howard, vice president David Spear, and Robert Sivek, CSEP, immediate past president. Bob Blaesing joined the committee as secretary treasurer.
