Update on New Orleans In its latest report on the recovery of New Orleans, the city's convention and visitors bureau said yesterday that the convention and meetings business continues to grow, building upon the city-wide meeting of the 17,000 members of the American Library Association in June 2006, the first since Hurricane Katrina. The CVB has retained approximately 40 percent of business for 2006, with approximately 70 percent of convention and meetings business for 2007 and more than 90 percent for 2008.
