Don't blame the Brits A quarter of Britons smoke cigarettes, so there will likely be some frayed nerves come July 1 when the U.K. ban on indoor smoking takes effect. A £8.7 million ($17.3 million) ad campaign is under way to educate the public about the change, the Wall Street Journal reports.
