Event management companies UNIVERSAL PROCON and WORLD EVENTS will merge, according to a statement from management. In November, WorldEvents was acquired by United Drug, which already owned UniversalProcon. Following a review process, the boards of both businesses agreed that the two companies will merge as of March 1. Management says the merger will create the largest global event management business specializing in serving the health-care sector. The combined revenue of the company, to be known as UNIVERSAL WORLD EVENTS, will be close to $150 million and will have 250 employees located in offices in the U.S., U.K., Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Hong Kong and Singapore.
