Event professionals from throughout the world gathered today in San Diego for The Special Event 2009, which runs Jan. 28-30 at the San Diego Convention Center.
The slate of education programs launched yesterday, with seminars including "Masters of Disasters: Wedding Emergencies Solved," "Events in Tents," "Event Trends 2009: The Hottest Consumer Trends in Europe, the Middle East and Asia," "How to Green Your Event" and "How to Enter the Gala Awards and Win."
Today will bring the Opening General Session with the announcement of the winners of the Tabletop Gallery competition, the sold-out Wedding Luncheon, and the Welcome Event--co-sponsored by NACE--at trendy night spot On Broadway.
