Who's News in Special Events This Week for July 28, 2016

News this week includes a new director of sales and marketing for Whim Hospitality

Ashley Sansalone joins WhimEvent services company Whim Hospitality, based in Dripping Springs, Texas, has appointed Ashley Sansalone [at left] as director of sales and marketing.

Chicago-based Total Event Resources has announced the hiring of Neil Christiansen as strategic account manager and Molly Whatley as sales and program assistant. Also, Kelly Elliott has been promoted to creative manager and Anna Aiken to program coordinator.

ILEA Live, which runs Aug. 11-13 in Austin, Texas, has announced its slate of diamond sponsors: CCR Solutions and The Slow Motion Booth. On-site registration is available starting Aug. 10.

Olivier Zambaux has been promoted to director of banquets at the Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin Hotel in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Gemma Gray has been named executive chef of the Hotel Casa del Mar in Santa Monica, Calif.

DMC Global Air, based in Kazakhstan, has joined DMC marketing group Euromic, included on the latest Special Events "25 Top DMCs."

Franck Jeandon has joined Searcys at 30 Pavilion Road in London as its executive chef.

New event team at One Market restaurant

One Market restaurant in San Francisco has named three new members to its special events team to expand its private dining program: Serena Collins-Isiah, Nicole Held and Matthew Lamos [above, from left].

Erika Suarez has been named executive chef at El Conquistador Resort and Las Casitas Village in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.
