Two days before the start of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, 20 event planners got a first-of-its-kind look behind the scenes at The Special Event’s Spin on Fashion Week. They met on-site with (and picked the brains of) executive producer of IMG Fashion Christina Neault as well as the team in charge of putting up the custom tents, designing a code-compliant space, and installing the lights, sound, and electricity. Attendees also got a tour of the entire facility at about 80 percent completion, to see first-hand what it takes to put on such a high-profile event (hint: there’s a 50-page production schedule).
