Ritz-Carlton Highlands Opens in Lake Tahoe
The new Ritz-Carlton Highlands in North Lake Tahoe, Calif., which opened this month, features more than 15,000 square feet of meeting space, including a ballroom lined with floor-to-ceiling windows with a seating capacity of up to 300 guests, two pre-function areas, an executive boardroom, five flexible meeting rooms and a slope-side terrace. The Meadows is a 5,000-square-foot tent pad suitable for an outdoor mountaintop wedding ceremony or reception for up to 300 guests.

NYLO Providence Offers "Rock Star" Package
The "Treat Me Like a Rock Star" package from the NYLO Providence/Warwick hotel in Warwick, R.I., is available through March 31, 2010, for groups with a minimum 10-room block for one or more nights. The package features turndown service with amenities including a sleep mask, slippers, bottled water and blue M&M candies; planners get the choice of a free meeting room rental or complimentary continental breakfast. Also included: free parking and complimentary hors d'oeuvre in the hotel's VIP lounge.

Sheraton Hacienda Debuts Incentive Package
The Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf & Spa Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico, has announced a new meetings and group travel incentive for planners who book an event from now through April 2010. The resort will offer a 10 percent discount on banquet services for groups booking 40 or more rooms for two consecutive nights. Additionally, all group guests will receive 15 percent off any spa appointments booked during their stay. Planners using the offer will also receive a certificate for a free two-night stay, including breakfast for two each morning, to be used one year from the date the contract is signed.
