Air Hollywood in Los Angeles
Believe it or not, there was a time when air travel was glamorous. It can be again, at the new Air Hollywood "Pan Am Experience."
A maximum of 56 guests get 1970s-style white-glove treatment in an exact replica of a Pan Am Boeing 747, complete with authentic glassware and china from the era, which are used to serve a five-course meal.
At the end of the "flight," passengers can take an optional tour of the various production sets at Air Hollywood, including the original cockpit from cult classic "Airplane!"

The Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center announces the grand opening of its redesigned event space, which brings luxe details and a sophisticated palette inspired by nature to lakeside meetings and social events.
The renovation, which began in the fall of 2016, adds a rich palette of neutral tones and earthy shapes and textures to new furnishings, carpet and wall covering in the 5,940 sq.-ft. Washingtonian Ballroom, pre-function space, Rio Meeting Room and public areas. Commissioned artwork reflects Maryland’s native beauty and the hotel’s picturesque lakeside location in the RIO Washingtonian Center entertainment complex.

The iconic Grand Hyatt New York in Midtown Manhattan recently debuted a multi-million dollar renovation of its Conference Level, including 12,000 square feet of meeting space and 18 breakout rooms.
Designed by New York-based interior design and architecture firm Nemaworkshop, the new design reflects the energy of the adjacent Grand Central Terminal and the New York City skyline.

The 1,622-room Hilton New Orleans Riverside, located adjacent to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, just wrapped a $6 million renovation to the Grand Ballroom, Grand Salon and first and second level meeting spaces.
Featuring a relaxed French-inspired design, the renovation brings a full transformation in key hotel areas including the first-floor Grand Ballroom.
The 26,894-square-foot area has been updated with a sophisticated color palette of blues, grays and golds in geometric patterns to create a serene space amidst New Orleans vibrance.
Twelve elegant new chandeliers along with warm neutral accents have been introduced throughout the space to provide depth and richness. The streamlined aesthetic continues into the Grand Salon, located across from the Grand Ballroom, which has been refreshed with new coffered ceilings and contemporary circular lighting fixtures that modernize the space.

Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, the largest full-service beachfront resort hotel on Northwest Florida’s Gulf Coast, has revamped its in-house catering menus to include interactive stations perfect for meetings and events.
The resort has 40,000 square feet of flexible indoor meeting space with a vibe inspired by the resort’s beachfront setting

The historic Hotel Phillips Kansas City just completed a $20 million renovation that transformed nearly every aspect of the hotel.
Event spaces include the underground P.S. Speakeasy, which maintains a low profile by not physically being seen from the outside, and relies on word-of-mouth knowledge through past patrons, hotel staff and social media.

The Hyatt Regency Coconut Point now offers event attendees an added benefit to its 85,000 square feet of event space--The Lazy River with water slides. The new space follows a $4.1 million renovation to the resort’s indoor meeting space in 2016, creating extra outdoor event venue and leisure activity for guests, especially those traveling with their families.
Event planners have their choice of charming courtyards with fountains, dramatic open spaces with towering palm trees or lakeside grassy lawns for outdoor venues as well as 37,600 square feet of indoor event space.

As part of its complete transformation, the new Hyatt Regency Los Angeles International Airport has just debuted its new self-contained Hyatt Regency Conference Center.
The Conference Center, which is the only space of its kind in the LAX-adjacent area, offers more than 10,000 square feet of flexible space designed exclusively for professional meetings and provides a dedicated meeting specialist to offer personalized, custom meetings for every group.
Located on the ground level of the hotel, the Conference Center includes several boardrooms and flexible breakout spaces for small groups of 10 to 20, as well as larger rooms that will accommodate up to 150 attendees. The Washington Marriott Georgetown has just completed a $28 million transformation.
Among the elements of the newly transformed hotel include Next Gen Meeting Spaces: The hotel transformed its 18 meeting rooms and added three new rooms including a 4,800-square-foot Metropolitan Ballroom, making a total 22,000 square feet of above-ground flexible event space.
Many meeting spaces feature floor-to-ceiling windows, while all include a flexible set-up, ability to adapt to a variety of group sizes with pivoting walls, and modular furniture to ensure every team’s meeting space is perfectly suited to their needs.
