The latest personnel news for the special events industry includes the launch of boutique rental firm Please B Seated by John Dawson and the launch of Social by Samantha Sackler.

Party rental veteran John Dawson (in photo above) has launched Please B Seated in New York, a boutique event rental company that will specialize in sourcing hard-to-find rental items delivered with an emphasis on service and reliability, the company says. Dawson was co-founder of Tristate Party Rentals in 1977, which later merged with Service Party Rental to form TriServe. That company was acquired by Classic Party Rentals in 2007.
