Wolfgang Puck goes Universal Celebrated restaurateur/caterer/TV host Wolfgang Puck was named primary caterer for all special events at Universal Studios Hollywood last week. "The addition of Wolfgang Puck's famous cuisine to our service will enhance our ability to create truly memorable special events," said Universal Studios Hollywood president and chief operating officer Larry Kurzweil. Conflicted over contracts? Developing standardized language and a stndard format for event industry contracts is a goal of the APEX Contracts Panel. The group also wants to develop contract guidelines to consider when preparing and reviewing event contracts. Applause for ADME The Association for Destination Management Executives' 2006 conference, which ran Feb. 2-5 in Colorado Springs, Colo., drew a record 130 delegates to its first "stand-alone" conference, organizers said. "It is clear that the organization and the professionals it represents have come of age," said executive vice president Fran Rickenbach. Pat Schaumann, CSEP, CMP, DMPC, of MAC Meetings & Events in St. Louis was named Destination Management Professional of the Year.
