Here, a floral wall from the team, branding the VH1 Mother's Day TV special.
The team sourced more than 65,000 roses alone--all in the weeks running up to Mother's Day--to create the floral spectacle.
The site--stately St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church on Park Avenue in Manhattan--is treated to a heavenly entrance, with "floral steps."
At work on the "floral steps."
All told, the team created more than 1,100 square feet of "floral steps."
A closer look.
For the piece d’ resistance, "We flanked the huge cathedral doors with six more floating spheres in varying heights of 6-, 9- and 12-feet tall. You couldn’t miss that something amazing was happening--and it was big," the team says.
A long view of the entrance.
As guests entered, they were treated to the 10-by-20-foot floral wall along with more giant floral spheres.
Servers welcome guests.
The dining area for the 250 guests features chairs with laser-cut backs set at plexiglass tables with flowers embedded between the layers.
A view from above.
Small silver pots with more flowers sit atop the tables.
A long view.
The stunning stage.
The team built both the floral wall and stage in four-by-four-foot panels in a warehouse in New Jersey, then trucked them to the church in a convoy of six refrigerated trucks, which circled the church until each truck could be unloaded.
And on with the taping of the show!
