Guests arrive at the museum to find an event that keys upon both the museum's striking new façade and textural elements of the automobile.
"I was inspired by the fluidity of building’s facade and wanted to bring the excitement of the exterior into the event space we constructed for the gala," explains RG Live Events executive producer Diana Rayzman.
The step-and-repeat showcases sponsors and--of course--a gorgeous car.

Guests enter a breathtaking tent with a clear top and filled with chrome decor, mirrored tabletops and live entertainment.
The 82- by-196-foot Losberger tent structure, provided by Town and Country Event Rentals, is installed on the third level of the museum’s parking structure.
Entrance to the tent includes glass front panels and three sets of glass doors.

Images by Lighting provides an array of lighting techniques to create a beautiful, layered look that shifts with the program’s entertainment.
The lighting for the evening is extensive, including table pinspots and stage lighting, to intelligent lighting rigged from above and LED lighting set around the room that sequence throughout the evening.
The room is first washed in the vibrant “Petersen Red,” which then segues into deep blues and purples and other tones to complement the entertainment.
The lighting design not only enhances the event design, but also punctuates the emotion of the evening through creative use of color.

The dining room is designed with both round and square tables, with the floral design following the shape of the tables.
The florals are low profile and designed in a circular or square tray with tightly packed beds of white hydrangeas and orchids.

Guest seating is designed using modern chrome dining chairs and mirrored tables provided by Revelry Event Designers.

The tent has not one but two main stages. The circular center stage is surrounded by a floor-to-ceiling translucent scrim that allows for 3D projection mapping.
No Static Pro AV provides four-projector image mapping on the center Kabuki screen as well as all the video projections, image mapping, playback and two wireless HD cameras.
Stereo Bot designed and installed the custom curved ceiling structures and arch stage frame suspended in the tent.
The evening's entertainment presents a visual interpretation of automotive history through a mix of live entertainment and 3D projection, including images from the Petersen's collection.
Acts range from Great Gatsby-era "feather girls" to disco to the "Uptown Funk" finale.
