SEARCH Launches Capital Campaign with Dec. 31 Deadline

Due to a dramatic increase in applications for crisis relief, the SEARCH Foundation-has launched a capital campaign with the goal of raising $50,000 by Dec. 31, 2015.

Due to a dramatic increase in applications for crisis relief, the SEARCH Foundation—the charitable foundation for event professionals in crisis--has launched a capital campaign with the goal of raising $50,000 by Dec. 31.

The SEARCH Foundation grants applicants up to $5,000 per calendar year.

WHAT IS SEARCH? Founded in 1997, the SEARCH Foundation is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to directly fund event professionals faced with a serious illness, injury or catastrophe. SEARCH is the only charitable organization dedicated to the entire events industry. Anyone who makes his or her living in the events industry can apply. Applicants can live anywhere in world and need not belong to an industry association to qualify.

Once applications are received, they are edited to be completely anonymous before they are processed by the SEARCH committee. Applicants may apply on their own behalf or to help someone else. Most applicants receive funding in as little as 10 business days.

Since its formation, the SEARCH Foundation has distributed nearly $300,000 to event professionals in crisis worldwide.
