Special events business news this week includes a new slate of ILEA officers and more time to submit to speak at The Special Event + Catersource 2021.

ILEA International swore in its 2020-2021 board of governors, regional vice presidents, and affiliate chair at its annual general meeting yesterday, including board president Dana Macaulay, CSEP; immediate past president Jennifer Trethewey, CSEP; president-elect Corinne Kessel, CSEP; and secretary/treasurer Dustin Westling. The association also presented its 2020 Volunteer Awards: JC York of Classic Entertainment and Wise Guys InterACTive was named winner of the Robert Graves Pioneer Award; Jaclyn Bernstein of Empire Force Events was presented with the Klaus Inkamp Lifetime Achievement Award; Tom Kura of Your Love In Lights was named Volunteer of the Year Award; and Kristen Porchia of the MotorCity Casino Hotel won the Mettle Attitude Award.
