A six-month planning period coordinated the seven vendors who participated in the event. Here, an overview of the dramatic red decor.
The 89 guest tables for the more than 850 guests feature one of six different table designs.
More than 800 feet of red beaded drape lines the perimeter of the ballroom.

The event team keys on the color red, but in a rich mix of tones--crimson, scarlet, ruby, burgundy, maroon and more--to add depth.
The design was developed to create a mood that was "elegant, chic and timeless," the event team says, suited to the sophisticated donor guests.
To make the most of the decor budget, the event team used floral strategically, placing floral centerpieces only on some tables.
The event's decor scheme called for 1,250 orchid stems, 500 roses and a "plethora" of additional flowers.

To save money, the event design team relied on existing pieces from local vendors and rental pieces; no custom pieces were commissioned.
