Imagine a Great Wall of China made of colorful parasols and thrilling entertainers--guests saw it all at the 2015 Daffodil Ball from Alison Silcoff Events and partners including the off-premise catering arm of Fairmont the Queen Elizabeth and Decor and More. The gorgeous event won a Gala Award in January from Special Events magazine.
Despite the constraints of a tight budget, the Peninsula Chicago team treated 1,200 guests to a private event revealing the hotel's $37 million room renovation. Although many function spaces were already in use, attendees visited a variety of themed spaces within the property, including a "Tastefully Thai" area and "Urban Chicago"; the menu included everything from strawberry-yuzu terrine to lobster corn dogs.

L.A.'s Petersen Automotive Museum was in the shop for 15 months for extensive renovation. So when it was time to take the museum out for a reopening spin, the team at RG Live Events revved up a creative event team to deliver a stunning celebration gala for 700 guests.
It was a night of firsts in this "Meant to Bee" wedding from Weddings Unique--the first wedding at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, a "bee" theme, and plenty of Hollywood glamor. The Special Events Advisory Board honored the event with a 2016 Gala Award nomination.
