Acclaimed chef, Diane Moua, announces the name and details of her restaurant, Diane’s Place, located at the Food Building in northeast Minneapolis. The adjoining event space, Events by Diane, is now available for bookings. This menu includes Asian inspired dishes, and offerings from fellow Food Building tenants–abundant meat and cheese boards with Alemar Cheese Company and Lowry Hill Provisions, along with specialty drinks from 3Leche. “We are all artisans who specialize in our own craft and skill,” said Moua. “Being in the Food Building, I’m proud to offer the grains, flour, meats, cheese and beverages produced by this wonderful community.”

Farnborough International has appointed Sarah Marshall as the new venue director of its award-winning Exhibition & Conference Centre. Sarah has over 25 years of experience within the events industry and has launched and grown events across the globe, managing large-scale exhibitions and conference portfolios for a number of organizers including Dods (Total Politics), Hyve, EMAP and Informa, amongst others. In her new role as venue director of Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, Sarah will be leading the commercial growth strategy and cementing the brand’s position as a leading venue and event organizer in the UK.

Tripleseat's seventh annual EventCamp conference will take place on May 15, 2024 at Big Night Live in the heart of Boston, curated specifically for hospitality and event professionals. Curated Events, Raleigh, N.C., an MRE Capital portfolio company, has acquired Please Be Seated Event Rentals, Nashville, Tenn. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Founded in 2014 by Mary and Paul Huddleston, Please Be Seated is a full-service provider of event rentals for weddings, corporate events, and other special events throughout Nashville and the Southeast. Please Be Seated’s offerings include lounge furniture options, tabletop inventory and a custom build studio.
