Last year Over The Top donated/shipped rolls of discontinued fabric from its sewing dept to an organization called The Giving Doll.
Located in Ohio, the group of volunteers sews and distributes handmade dolls to children with healthcare needs worldwide. "To our surprise, The Giving Doll shipped back to us 50 plus dolls to donate locally," says OTT's director of marketing and sales development Robert Hughes, CERP. "We choose the Chris Evert Children’s Hospital at Broward Heath Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale to receive the dolls."

Some older linens go all the way from Florida to Kenya.
"Our friends are missionaries there," Hughes explains, "and we had decided to donate last year some of our 'gently used' and discontinued fabric to their children's homes they work with there. The young girls love anything with sparkles, and so do our clients in Miami and Boca! "

The Tumaini Children’s Home, located in Kenya, East Africa, has created shade for skylights in their classrooms with Over the Top's discontinued linens. "It is great to see our product repurposed for such a wonderful organization," Hughes says. The home exists to provide a family setting for small children who have been orphaned and abandoned.

"Over The Top was happy to provide discontinued and damaged linens for decor for this special event," Hughes says.
