Proof of the Pudding, Atlanta's largest caterer, has inked a long-term lease for a cutting-edge 13,000-square-foot event venue on the first floor of Westside Paper in West Midtown, Atlanta. Known for its culinary innovation, elevated hospitality, service and unwavering commitment to quality, Proof of the Pudding, a Bruin Capital company, is creating a one-of-a-kind venue that promises an unparalleled social and corporate experience. Located at 950 West Marietta Street, Westside Paper is a repurposed 70-year-old warehouse reimagined by Westbridge and FCP®. With modern office and retail space in the heart of West Midtown, the mixed-use campus spans over 15 acres, combining historic charm with contemporary styling and creative design. 


Cabo’s newest hotspot, Corazón Cabo Resort & Spa, treats travelers to a luxurious beachfront getaway in the heart of Cabo San Lucas’s famous marina district. This year brings a new side of Corazón to large groups and businesses looking to host retreats and large-scale events. The resort now offers the most meeting space in the region after recently adding more than 45,000 square feet of new, unique meeting spaces—including waterfront, indoor, and rooftop venues. The resort also boasts plenty of indoor space options with six new, state-of-the-art indoor meeting rooms featuring floor-to-ceiling windows. The renovations will continue in 2024 with new plans to update the resort’s signature on-property Baja inspired restaurant, Aleta, as well as the private Corazón Beach Club.

Courtney Church, and Jill Tate, Co-CEOs of Corinthian Events, one of Boston’s leading event planning companies, announced a succession plan that involves selling the 24-year-old company to three longtime employees: Jennifer Logan, Tamara O’Malley, and Jamie Hellesen. While details of the sale are confidential, the three have worked for Corinthian Events for more than 35 years combined and are expected take full ownership of the company by January 2027. Says Jennifer Logan, Managing Partner at Corinthian Events, “We’re so lucky and honored to be able to shepherd Corinthian Events into the future. I speak for us all when I say that with Jill and Courtney’s guidance over the next few years, we’re fully confident that our company will continue to grow and thrive.”

Palazzo di Varignana, a luxury Italian resort based in the Bolognese hills, won the “Best for Weddings, Parties, and Celebrations” category at the renowned Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2024. This esteemed accolade recognizes Palazzo di Varignana as a distinguished venue for hosting exceptional events, grand celebrations, and dream weddings. The prestigious ceremony took place at the Kimpton Fitzroy London Hotel, London and the award is a testament to the resort's commitment to providing an unparalleled experience for its guests. 


The SEARCH Foundation, a 501(c)3 that assists event, meeting, and catering professionals in crisis, announced the milestone of over $100,000 raised at their Annual Signature Event for the second consecutive year. "The support our foundation provides to individuals in crisis is only possible with the generosity of the industry members that give so selflessly. I’m pleased to report that at the Annual Signature Event at Skybox on 6th, followed by an after party hosted by Wilkinson-Rhodes, we surpassed our goal for this event," says board chairperson, Kate Patay of Terramar, a DMC Network Company. The following evening Patay, along with the SEARCH Board, were honored with the Steve Kemble Leadership Award presented by the Steve Kemble Leadership Foundation to the individual or group who has demonstrated excellence in leadership skills through service and contributions to the special event and meeting industry. This award was presented to Patay and the SEARCH Foundation on the 20 year anniversary of its inception by Steve Kemble and Debbie Meyers.
