Gala Award Recipient for Best Entertainment
What happens when you combine robots and humans? Berlin-based event company insglück believes the answer is a harmonious future. At least, that’s what they demonstrated in their World Expo show “Kazakhstan Pavilion Expo 2020 – Mainshow ‘Unlimited Space.’”
insglück dazzled the audience by making an automotive robot interact with a human counterpart in real time. They made sure there was a seamless connection to the media and precise synchronization, programming a robotic hand to an interface. In a 270-degree immersive simulation, the audience joined this imaginary science fiction world and watched as the robot and human performed a dance together.
The theme of the show plugged into the overall theme of the exhibition itself. insglück achieved this in the show’s venue, the Kazakhstan Pavilion, which showcased the expo country’s traditional values, modern aesthetics, and strong future orientation. With the expo’s theme being "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future,” the Mainshow told the story of a harmonious future between humanity and technology.

Catersource + The Special Event will run February 12-15, 2024 in Austin, TX. Both the ACE and Gala awards will be presented during the conference at a to-be-determined location in Austin.
