Who’s News in Special Events for Dec. 6, 2018

Special events news this week includes a big new role for Bishop-McCann's CEO and continued growth for Imprint Group.

Rob Adams, president and CEO of Bishop-McCann, has been named to a two-year term on the MPI board of directors. He is based in Kansas City, Mo.

Imprint Group, an event, production and destination management company included on the latest Special Events “25 Top DMCs,” announced that the company has merged with AlpineAccess, a high-end boutique DMC serving Colorado resorts, to provide direct event support to Colorado’s mountain resorts. AlpineAccess, now known as Imprint Events Colorado Resorts, will represent Imprint’s fourth office across the country including Denver, Central Florida and Las Vegas.

ILEA Calgary has announced the veteran event producer Andrea Michaels, founder of Extraordinary Events, Sherman Oaks, Calif., will present the session “Top Event Trends 2019” at the chapter’s Dec. 11 meeting. Jerad Bachar has been named executive vice president at Visit Pittsburgh.

Alert Management Systems, Colorado Springs, Colo., has announced a strategic partnership with the SmartEquip network to integrate their respective software platforms. The partnership is expected to provide Alert customers a significant reduction in equipment operating costs.
