Special events business news this week includes a new chairman at the National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals.

Jason Dunn, group vice president of diversity sales and inclusion at the Cincinnati USA Convention and Visitors Bureau, has been elected chairman of the board of the National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals.

Hollywood, Fla.-based Hard Rock International has announced the appointment of Donna Marchese as regional director of global sales--Americas. With this role, she is responsible for building awareness for the Hard Rock brand, developing relationships with key group clients and agencies in the Northeast, and driving business to the entire portfolio. 

Longtime rental industry supplier Jomar Table Linens has announced that the company has re-opened under new ownership and is again renting and selling table linens for the special event industry. New owner Nick Fadden said, “My business partner and I know that Jomar has always been a well-respected member of the special event communitywe are excited to take the reputation and expand upon it. This includes moving to a larger service area and well-equipped laundry facilities within the very near future.” The company is based in Ontario, Calif. The City of Memphis and Renasant Bank have announced a naming rights partnership for the Memphis convention and meetings facility to be renamed the Renasant Convention Center. The naming rights partnership takes effect immediately.
