The 30th Annual 2020 Allie Awards will take place Aug. 23 beginning at 3 p.m EST as a virtual production. The virtual event will be a combination of pre-recorded segments featuring a special video tribute and interview with founding father Tim Lundy, CSEP, and current board president Terry Singleton, CSEP, CDMC; VIP presenters; sponsor spotlights; and entertainment vignettes. To ensure and maintain the element of surprise, all nominees were asked to submit acceptance videos so that no one will know who the winners are until they are announced during the actual viewing of the event. In addition to the virtual event, a live “in-person” industry celebration is being planned for next March. There is no charge to “attend” the virtual event. “This is a great way to show our families, industry colleagues and clients what it means to be part of the live events industry," says Claudette Pate, event chair. “This is a fantastic reminder of why we love so much doing what we do best--produce amazing memories!” Register for the 2020 Virtual Allie Awards here.
