Corduroy Furniture New from Bridge
In keeping with corduroy's chic new role on fashion runways, Bridge Furniture & Props offers an array of furniture upholstered in the fabric. The line includes a chocolate corduroy velvet winged armless lounge chair (in photo), winged club chair with arms, winged sofa and ottoman. Also available: a mushroom velvet sofa, chaise longue, club chair and ottoman. The company's "event collections" include the Louis Collection, White Collection and Black Collection, among others.

Front of the House Debuts Bamboo Plates
Front of the House debuted its Platewise line at the New York Hotel-Motel Show this month. Made of natural bamboo fiber, the line is free of melamine, which, the company says, makes it a safer, healthier choice. The Platewise product stands up to rigorous commercial washings and easily decomposes in a landfill, according to the company. The line includes plates and serving bowls.

Solar-powered Generator is Clean, Quiet
The new solar-powered portable generator from Spirit of the Sun Solar Systems not only provides an eco-friendly alternative to electric generators, it is also quiet, the manufacturer says. Models include the Firefly, which runs 3,500 watts of power. The unit is small enough to be towed yet provides 30 continuous running amps at 120 volts, with 800 amp-hour battery capacity, according to the manufacturer.
