People on the Move

The recently rebranded 30-year-old hotel, San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter on the River Walk, and its connected property, San Antonio Marriott Riverwalk, announced two promotions within the food and beverage team: Ben Annotti to Senior Banquet Chef, and Joseph Martinez to Senior Sous Chef. Prior to this internal promotion, the seasoned chef had been with the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter and Riverwalk hotels’ as the Senior Sous Chef since 2019. Replacing Chef Annotti as Senior Sous Chef, Chef Martinez brings his native Texan roots to the forefront of his culinary point of view. In the new position, he will lead the culinary operations of all five of the hotels’ restaurants and cafes. Before this internal promotion, Chef Martinez was the Sous Chef for the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter and Riverwalk hotels since 2021.

Hot off the Press

EUROPALCO, the largest provider of solutions for events and shows in Southern Europe, has recently invested in two KUKA robots to create differentiating events, with a new "Wow Factor" for its clients. Europalco plans to use the KUKA KR210 robots in many ways, with LED walls, LCD, lasers, and even artists assisting at the events. The robots can hold, move, or animate monitors or video screens. They can also be used to produce props and mobile stage designs. With a company policy of constant investment in state-of-the-art technology, Europalco presented the robots at BTL 2023 show in Lisbon. Visitors to the stand were surprised by the innovative solutions and not expecting what they saw.
