Nth Degree, a leading full-service global event marketing and labor management company, announced the appointment of Russell Greenway to President of Nth Degree’s ExMS division. Greenway is a company and industry veteran with more than 25 years’ experience. Earlier in his career, Greenway was a partner at Zenith LaborNet and joined the company as part of the Nth Degree-Zenith merger in 2017. He was most recently Nth Degree’s Chief Client Officer. Greenway will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the division's operations, including strategy, client relationships, service expansion, and team management. His appointment underscores Nth Degree's commitment to providing the highest level of expertise and service to clients worldwide.

Recently launched is a first-of-its-kind event venue platform, Open Venues, that allows users exclusive access to book rare and historic properties and wild landscapes for every type of event, whether it’s transformative corporate events, brand activations, weddings or elaborate dinner parties. With a current collection of 25 venues across Arizona, California, Utah and Nevada, all locations within the Open Venues network are only available to book via the platform with many being made available for event booking for the first time. From wondrous outdoor spaces to architectural marvels, Open Venues lends the keys to its curated collection of rarefied retreats and legendary landscapes.  

Hot off the Press

Fern Expo and Nth Degree recently announced an expanded suite of service offerings and broader national coverage for trade show and event organizers across North America. Aimed at the association and for-profit event planner, these expanded services—previously only available to Nth Degree Events’ corporate clients—include customized exhibit and sponsorship sales, housing, speaker and content management, among others. Along with Nth Degree’s best-in-class installation-and-dismantle labor and Fern’s exhibitor services, these offerings can be delivered across the country to support events of a few hundred to many thousands of attendees and exhibitors. 


SPH Engineering, a leading expert in the development of drone show technologies, announced the winners of the 4th International Drone Show Competition and to commemorate the remarkable innovations and creativity within the world of drone shows. The event is scheduled to take place on December 4th, 2023, at 6:15 pm at the Las Vegas Convention Center during the LDI 2023 Expo. In partnership with Sky Elements, SPH Engineering will host a breathtaking Drone Show, showcasing the outstanding achievements of the Drone Show Competition. The evening will also feature an Award Ceremony, recognizing and rewarding the exceptional participants of the competition. The 4th International Drone Show Competition marks the culmination of a year filled with innovation in the drone show industry. 

Awards and Accolades

The Events Industry Council recently announced that Vist Denver has achieved PLATINUM Level certification to the EIC Sustainable Event Standards. Denver is the first destination to achieve the highest level of certification. The EIC Sustainable Event Standards are specific standards for environmental and social responsibility within the events industry. Created by the EIC Sustainability Committee in partnership with industry professionals and leading sustainability practitioners, the requirements provide event planners and suppliers with prescriptive actions for producing and delivering sustainable events. The standard specifies performance criteria in the areas of organizational management, marketing, communications and engagement, climate action, water management, materials and circularity, supply chain management, diversity, equity and inclusion, accessibility and social impact. The destination standard is one of seven comprehensive standards for environmentally sustainable meetings.
