Special events new this week includes a new event company from industry leader Annette Naif.

Annette Naif has opened Naif Productions, a strategic event design and production firm based in New York. Naif most recently headed the New York office of Forté Events. Naif Productions will handle all facets of designing, planning and managing corporate, social, nonprofit events and weddings. The team's expertise includes corporate events, conferences, galas, retreats, sales meetings, live coaching, tours, trade shows, fundraisers, incentive programs, and other events, the company says.

Leigh Trance has joined CSI DMC in Falls Church, Va., as vice president of sales.

DNP today announced this week the appointment of Shinichi Yamashita as president of DNP Imagingcomm America Corp. Yamashita was chosen to replace Katsuyuki Oshima, who is returning to Japan to take a new position with the company. Yamashita will be based at DNP IAM’s U.S. headquarters in Concord, N.C.

Eric Feger has been named senior manager of client services with Access TCA. He will be based in San Francisco.

Los Angeles-based Samantha Sackler Productions has rebranded the company to the new name: The Firm. The company offers event design, event management and full-scale production.
