As of June 30, London Ashfield Event Experiences (AEE), one of the leading global event agencies with a strong focus on healthcare, has become part of The Creative Engagement Group (TCEG). The addition of AEE into TCEG, with operating hubs in the UK and US and its 250 strong team, further enhances TCEG’s market leading live and virtual experiential capabilities and strengthens its global leadership position in healthcare events. The move will enable AEE to capitalize on complementary expertise of TCEG. AEE is already combining with TCEG’s capabilities in film, digital, virtual, capability development, learning, scientific engagement and learning as well as its behavioral science unit, to enhance its offer for clients. 


Luma Hotel San Francisco recently opened with 299 guest rooms and 7,250 square feet of meeting space, the Mission Bay area’s first hotel. The property is close to Oracle Park, home of MLB’s San Francisco Giants, and the Chase Center, where the NBA’s Golden State Warriors play. Luma’s meeting space includes eight rooms, including the Willet Ballroom at 1,775 square feet, with space for a banquet of 120, and Gather, a 2,297-square-foot area reception for up to 230 people. Luma is planning to open a rooftop tapas bar later in the summer, and a full-service restaurant on the ground floor in 2023. 


Hyatt Regency San Francisco announces the “Meet Safe, Spend Smart” experience for groups.  The experience features the hotel’s premier meeting spaces paired with complimentary event enhancements in order to help planners make the most of their San Francisco function. The program includes triple World of Hyatt bonus points; one complimentary guestroom for every 40 room nights; one VIP upgrade to a one-bedroom suite for every 40 room nights booked; and basic wireless internet access in the meeting space. There are several enhancement options, such as a one-hour complimentary wine and cheese reception for up to 300 attendees and thirty percent off coffee pricing for all coffee breaks during meetings.

ExCeL London has signed the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge, which aims to achieve a 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and become net zero by 2050. ExCeL London is the UK’s leading events and exhibitions venue and home to London’s International Convention Centre.
