The South’s newest and most adventurous venue for conventions and meetings groups is now open at Montgomery Whitewater in Montgomery, Alabama. This world-class, 120-acre outdoor adventure park is anchored by the world’s most advanced, manmade, recirculating whitewater course and is located just minutes from the downtown convention and entertainment districts. An ideal setting for off-site team-building and social events, meeting and event attendees can learn to whitewater raft, take on Class II-IV rapids, stand-up paddle and kayak in the flatwater pool or kickback with a craft beer or cocktail at Eddy’s, the park’s on-site indoor-outdoor restaurant and bar. The property also offers over 7,000 square feet of meeting and event space of its own including conference rooms, green space and patio options, all fully equipped with audio-visual technology and on-site catering services. The entire park can also be reserved for large groups and events. 

The iconic Hotel Casa del Mar located on the beach in Santa Monica has opened the Westside’s newest event and meeting venue, The Conservatory, designed by PHX Architecture. Boasting floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, the breathtaking new space will offer an inviting waterfront setting. Perfect for any intimate to medium-sized event, the 1,750 sq. foot elegant enclave is enveloped on three sides with sparkling two-story glass. Natural light illuminates its stylish interior showcasing the natural beauty that surrounds it. Completely private and set off the main lobby, the new space can accommodate up to 96 seated guests or up to 120 guests for a reception-style event.

Destination Concepts inc (DCi), has hired Sherry Carey as an Account Executive as part of their expanding Florida Team. Based in Miami, Sherry will support clients in the creative development of events and destination-centric experiences throughout Florida.  Carey has 20+ years of DMC experience encompassing creative ideation, regional expertise, and a strong operational background. 

PRG (Production Resource Group), the world’s leading provider of production solutions for entertainment and live events, has announced the hiring of Ariane Coldiron as Senior Vice President, Corporate Events. Coldiron will head the Corporate Events division, reporting directly to PRG CEO Stephan Paridaen. Coldiron was most recently SVP, Brand Experience at Freeman where she worked for nearly a decade. As SVP, she drove the company’s highly successful agency business, developing and implementing go-to-market and long-term strategies while managing a large and complex portfolio of accounts including industry giants like Google, SalesForce, Sage, and HP. She also held tenures at experiential agencies Jack Morton, InVision Communications, and TBA Global Events.
