Venue News

Marriott Anchorage Downtown announces the completion of its top-to-bottom renovation that includes a total transformation of guest rooms, public spaces, dining outlets and function space. Associate and guest safety continues to remain paramount during the pandemic with current guidelines located here. The hotel is popular for its flexible meeting and event spaces that accommodate groups ranging anywhere from five to 500 people and is known for its rich history hosting dignitaries, government officials and celebrities – including serving as the venue for the recent inauguration of Anchorage Mayor Dave Bronson. The hotel’s comprehensive renovations feature an aesthetic inspired by the interplay between the natural beauty of the great Alaskan outdoors with the dynamic metropolitan lifestyle of Alaska’s most populous city. Featuring nearly 15,000 square feet of event space across six total event rooms with additional breakout rooms available, Marriott Anchorage Downtown is a highly popular, central destination for small and mid-size functions. As part of the complete hotel redesign, all of the prefunction event spaces have been refreshed to include new paint and furnishings to bring elements of the spectacular Alaskan outdoors into the interior spaces for guests of meeting and events at the hotel.
