Special events business news this week includes a new sales and marketing coordinator at Destination South.

Kristen McFarland has been named sales and marketing coordinator at Destination South Meetings and Events, based in Atlanta.

Washington-based Global DMC Partners, included on the latest Special Events 25 Top DMC” list, welcomes its newest Middle Eastern member, Pure Arabia, to its partnership of more than 65 independently-owned DMCs.

Standard Party Rentals, headquartered in Richmond, Calif., has announced a brand partnership with La Tavola Fine Linen Rental, a premier luxury linen provider based in Napa, Calif. “This collaboration between our brands in the [Calif.] Central Valley is the first phase of a broader plan, which will allow us to maximize resources and provide a one stop shop for our client base in the northern California market,” said Matt Guelfi, president and owner of Standard Party Rentals.
