Special events business news this week includes longtime event pro Lenny Talarico joining Blueprint Studios.

San Francisco-based Blueprint Studios, a leading experiential event design, production and rentals firm, welcomes Lenny Talarico, CSEP, as its Las Vegas director of sales. He will be responsible for the leadership of the creative sales team, developing new business opportunities and creating customized solutions for regional and global markets. Also, Talarico will serve as an Ambassador for The Special Event 2020, running March 9-12 in Las Vegas.

Big show provider GES, based in Las Vegas, has announced that Ascential has selected GES to produce its Money20/20 USA conference.

Hotel Cerro, located in San Luis Obispo, Calif., has announced the appointment of Jonathan Bagley-Rowe as food and beverage manager.


Tara Higgins takes the role of president at Hargrove.

Lanham, Md.-based Hargrove, included on the latest Special Events “50 Top Event Companies,” has announced the hiring of industry veteran Tara Higgins as president. Higgins brings to Hargrove more than 20 years of experience leading results-driven teams in the events, exhibitions and experiential marketing industries, the company said; she has spent most of her career with George P. Johnson in increasing areas of responsibility and where her last role was executive vice president of global operations.

The St. Regis Bal Harbour [Fla.] Resort has announced the appointment of Conrado Tromp as executive chef.
