Special events news this week includes the appointment of Dan Cole to executive vice president of sales and development at the International Spy Museum.

Dan Cole has joined the International Spy Museum in Washington as executive vice president of sales and development. A 30-plus year sales professional, Cole will lead the SPY team’s sales and development efforts surrounding the newly constructed 140,000 square foot facility in L’Enfant Plaza. The building’s private event space opens this fall.

Big Chicago-based DMC AlliedPRA, included on the latest Special Events “25 Top DMCs,” has hired Mitch MacGregor as global sales manager. He will work alongside Madelyn Marusa, vice president, industry relations and global sales director, to assist with her accounts.

Visit San Antonio has promoted Néstor Núñez to the role of senior sales manager. In his new role, Núñez will lead sales efforts for San Antonio in the domestic northeast and southeast markets.

Pittsburgh-based All Occasions Party Rental has opened a new event design center in Cleveland. The 6,000-square-foot center also houses two other rental providers in the Cleveland market—L’nique Specialty Linen Rentals and Aable Rents—with the goal of providing a seamless planning experience for clients. The center is located at 1717 E 9th St., Cleveland, OH 44114.

Big DMC association Euromic, with offices in Chicago and Brussels, has named Huw Tuckett its new executive director.

Minneapolis-based CWT Meetings and Events has partnered with JTB Communication Design Co., the meeting and events arm of the JTB Group, to provide strategic meetings management services to companies in Japan.

Party supply company Shindigz has announced its selection of downtown Fort Wayne, Ind., for the planned expansion and relocation of its corporate headquarters beginning in 2019.

Deana Ivey has been promoted to executive vice president at the Nashville [Tenn.] Convention and Visitors Corp.
