Special events business news this week includes a new catering account director at Kyo-ya Hotels in Hawaii.

Kelli Sahara has been promoted to account director in the catering and events department of the Marriott International Waikiki Complex of properties owned by Kyo-ya Hotels and Resorts in Honolulu.

Rick Weber has joined New York-based McVeigh Global Meetings and Events as vice president of sales.

Staff Pro was obtained through the company’s acquisition of U.S. Security Associates in 2018. The division provides crowd management, event staffing and consulting.
