Attendance jumped 34 percent over last year at The Special Event 2003, staged Jan. 8-11 in Orlando, Fla.
With a total registration of nearly 4,900, this year’s trade show and conference saw event pros heading to the Orange County Convention Center for a jam-packed program of seminars, exhibits, networking opportunities and outstanding events. The Special Event is sponsored by Special Events Magazine and CMI magazine and produced by Primedia Business Exhibitions, all part of Primedia Business Magazines & Media.
Attendees from some 28 countries visited the booths 264 exhibitors showcasing everything from tabletop items to special effects. A slate of more than 70 seminars in eight tracks—Business and Professional Development, Design, Foodservice, Event Management, Rental, Sales & Marketing, ISES and the new Wedding track—further increased industry professionalism.
