Everything is bigger in Texas--and that's true of The Special Event trade show and conference, which rode into Dallas Jan. 9-12. Some 6,000 event professionals were on hand.
The Special Event is sponsored by Special Events Magazine and produced by Prism Business Expositions, both part of Prism Business Media. Complementing the exhibits on the trade show floor and the education program was the show's famed slate of showcasing special events, including the NACE Welcome Party, the Opening Night Party, Wedding Luncheon, Theme Lunch, Leadership Brunch, and the Gala Awards and Celebration. The Hands-On Hundred work/study program gave emerging event professionals the chance to work side by side with veteran event pros. And the SEARCH Foundation raised $71,000 at its annual Cabaret to assist event professionals in need.
