No suspects named in Florida meeting exec's murder Police are still investigating the murder last week of meeting industry veteran Ben Novack Jr., according to our sister publication Corporate Meetings & Incentives. Novack was beaten to death in his hotel room in Rye Brook, N.Y., on July 12. Novack, who operated Convention Concepts Unlimited of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., was staying at the Hilton Rye Town where he had organized a convention for Amway Global International. Here's one meeting to pass up Concerned about a planned rendezvous of hundreds of members of the notorious Mongols biker gang, city officials in Lancaster, Calif., fenced off the Desert Inn motel over the weekend, according to the Associated Press. Dozens of Mongol members were indicted last year on drug trafficking, murder and other charges.
