Who’s News in Special Events for Dec. 7, 2017

Special events business news this week includes new event staff at Boston's famed Fenway Park.

Boston-based Fenway Sports Management has announced that Fred Olsen has been promoted from senior director to vice president and Kathleen Harrington from senior manager to assistant director, while Brett Miller joined the team as coordinator of special events.

AlliedPRA-–included on the last Special Events "25 Top DMCs" list--has announced that Dean Altvater has joined the AlliedPRA Global Sales Team as global sales director in the New York region.

Lauren Castine and Leah Sulony have been named event managers at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The center will be home to The Special Event 2018, Jan. 30-Feb. 1.

Mosaix Group of Charlotte and Asheville, N.C., has joined the DMC Network, included on the latest Special Events "25 Top DCMs" list.

Kimpton Ink48 Hotel in New York has announced the appointment of Ileana Acosta as director of sales and marketing.

Cahal Mowery has been named director of convention sales at Visit Denver.

Jean Louis Blanchard has joined A.C. Lighting of Toronto as vice president of business development.

Jeffrey Langhorst will join Creative Technology Spain as international project manager.

Jason Koteff has been named national sales manager for Visit Charlotte, the destination sales team for the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority. Koteff, based in Washington, will guide associations and corporations in the Virginia area that are considering Charlotte as a destination for their events.
