Who’s News in Special Events for Sept. 5, 2019

Special events business news this week includes a new president of global sales at Hosts Global and a new CFO at Affairs to Remember.

Las Vegas-based Hosts Global, included on the latest Special Events “25 Top DMCs,” has appointed event industry veteran Kurt Paben as president of global sales.

Patrick Cuccaro has been promoted to chief financial officer at Atlanta-based Affairs to Remember.

Stamford, Conn.-based Marcia Selden Catering has launched its Naked Fig arm, which will offer plant-based cuisine. “Naked Fig Catering brings together the imaginative spirit and culinary expertise of Matthew Kenney Cuisine with the long-standing reputation for luxury and excellence that Marcia Selden Catering is known for,” the company said.

Addison, Texas-based DMC Network, included on the latest Special Events “25 Top DMCs,” has announced that Signature DMC of Buenos Aires has joined as an affiliate partner. Also, ECO Destination Management Services, based in the Dutch Caribbean, has been named a preferred partner.

Paragon Events, headquartered in Delray Beach, Fla., has announced that it has reopened in the wake of Hurricane Dorian.
