Classic Acquires Party Showcase of Raleigh

The acquisition stampede from Los Angeles-based Classic Party Rentals continued with the announcement Thursday that the nation's leading party rental company has acquired Party Showcase of Raleigh, N.C. The announcement falls on the heels of word only last month that Classic picked up Fiesta Rentals of West Palm Beach, Fla. The Party Showcase operation joins ACE Party Rentals in Charlotte, N.C., which Classic bought in March. This latest acquisition brings the Classic network to 25 outlets, in California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, New Mexico, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.

Classic will continue to operate the business at the existing Raleigh location but will re-brand it Classic Party Rentals, according to a company statement. Eighteen-year company veteran Mark Miller will stay on as vice president and general manager, while owner/president Brad Turlington will lead the company's integration into the Classic system.

STRONG ON SOUTHEAST

"The events industry in the Southeast U.S. is growing rapidly, and the response to our recent entry into Charlotte has been overwhelmingly positive," said Classic CEO John Campanelli. "We see the same unmet demand for professional, high-quality service in the [Research] Triangle. With its world-renowned universities, numerous Fortune 500 offices, government and research institutions, cultural attractions and a healthy economy, Raleigh has been a priority for Classic for some time. By adding the high-caliber Party Showcase team to the Classic family, we now have strong foundation for growth throughout North Carolina."
