EDUCATION and events are only part of the package at The Special Event, Jan. 10-13 in Dallas — the exhibit floor will be packed with exciting new products and services for the event professional. Here are some highlights:
M&M Sales (Booth 645) will showcase its elegant new tablecloths featuring embroidered applique and lace cutwork, complete with matching runners, napkins and place mats. Keeping linen in place while adding a design element is the job of the new Couvert clip from Jomar Table Linens (Booth 1039). Top the table with Lomey design stands from Smithers-Oasis (Booth 953) featuring hand-blown glass vases.
Gorgeous tables deserve gorgeous chairs, such as the Crystal Clear Flex Chair from Bill Whidden Designs (Booth 1032), with a flexing back and interchangeable seat. Drake Corp.'s (Booth 727) new line of techno-polymer chia-varis offer wood's good looks but easy care. The back of the new GloChair from Lounge 22 (Booth 427) stays lit for up to 20 hours with no plug or power pack visible. And fans of Philippe Starck's Louis and Victoria Ghost Chairs must visit Resource One (Booth 719) to learn about the company's new warehouses in Dallas and Las Vegas, which will be stocked with the chairs in a range of new colors.
For entertainment with a Wild West theme, visit Elk River Productions (Booth 659), which produces Western-themed shows anywhere in the world. In a quieter mood, the CineBox from Open Air Cinema (Booth 233) makes it a snap to set up outdoor movie screenings.
Make the dessert course entertaining — and neat to boot — via the new chocolate fountain drip guard from Buffet Enhancements (Booth 847). Young guests will get a kick out of etched photo pendants and key chains from NY Party Works (Booth 242), while grown-up gents can dress to impress with custom-decorated tuxedos from Party Hats Entertainment (Booth 559).
IF YOU BUILD IT …
Tentnology (Booth 609) will debut its Poleadion, a new lightweight tent featuring curved side walls and stay-dry exits. Stop by Karl's Event Rental (Booth 1008) to ask about the company's new program offering customized clear-span tenting, such as gable ends printed with corporate logos. Holding it all up will be UltraDeck heavy-duty modular flooring from Signature Fencing & Flooring Systems (Booth 1004). And picking it all up is the job of the new ESP 19 electric stock picker from Bil-Jax (Booth 1000), designed to do the work of a stock picker, personnel lift and material lift.
MORE ON DECOR
