Special events news this week includes a new senior project manager at Vok Dams and continued expansion of party rental company Party Reflections.

Andrea Bergheim has joined the Frankfurt, Germany, office of international event production powerhouse Vok Dams as senior project manager. Vok Dams is included on the latest Special Events "50 Top Event Companies."

Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa and Convention Center in Branson, Mo., has expanded its sales team with the addition of Gayla Welsh as corporate sales manager and Jessica Wrenfrow as event sales manager.

Big conference venue ExCeL London has named Sophie Simpson as account executive and Sarika Sangar as digital marketing executive.

Charlotte, N.C.-based Party Reflections, included on the latest Special Events 30 Top Rental Companies” list, has acquired Southern Event Rental of Greensboro, N.C. “The expansion into the Triad region of North Carolina strengthens the 59-year-old Party Reflections foot print in the Carolinas as a regional brand,” the company said.

Chad Chappell, CMP, has joined The Expo Group, headquartered in Irving, Texas, as national sales director. He will be based in Baltimore in order to serve the Washington area clientele.

Big foodservice contractor Savor, based in West Conshohocken, Pa., has been named food and beverage provider for the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg, Pa.

Events and meetings company Bishop-McCann, based in Kansas City, Mo., announced that it has partnered with Ofactor—a Santa Monica, Calif.-based company that uses neuroscience to measure and sustain high-performance work cultures—to define the concept of “trust” as the new success metric that will help companies increase relationships with their attendees and ultimately improve company performance. By using Ofactor, Bishop-McCann will measure organizational trust levels before and after key meetings and events and identify specific behaviors by leaders and managers that produce higher job satisfaction and less stress among employees and customers, the company said.
